My run at OD is bid out at 634 but with the via I run 3 or 4 nights a week it bumps it up to 644 or 649. My tractor is governed at 70mph and I'm out 10hrs 20mins from gate to gate. The 70mph tractor makes a big difference.

Od seems like a good gig, if I ever left freight and was going to stay in ltl they'd be on the top of my list. The way they set the governor based on Miles is really smart. Running 600+ miles even small delays put you up against your 14.jmz Thanks this.

In 11 years I've never even came close to bumping my 14

When I was in SLC Ground was in N-SLC been a few years.FreightHolla Thanks this.

It still is . Freight is just in a different area of north salt lake

You know these miles you say fed ex says they pay .67 - .70 cpm and that 600 miles you do comes out to be $400-420 per day. So your $160k year would actually be $105k a year.

Freight pays more than .67/.70cpm. You're probably confusing freight with ground. I'm at OD and we with all the other LTL's are definitely higher than .70cpm. Our starting mileage rate is higher than that and we top out after 2yrs and in my region it's 80cpm.FreightHolla and High Stepper Thank this.

It's between 74 to 80 cpm depending on terminal. Plus hourly for drop/hook fuel, tractor only etc.
Our longest run pays me $535 a day when I have to cover it. Guys running it 5 day make $2675 a week not including delay pay. So 140k before bonuses.FreightHolla, Hawkeye72 and JohnBoy Thank this. -

Here is a road driver on this forum who posted this on Jan 3 this year. His pay will be higher this year because of the yearly raise.
FreightHolla and Hawkeye72 Thank this.
