Do not loose sleep over it, friend.

I was shocked as to why he said what he said. Considering it was only his second post on here.

As far as I am concerned Artic is the worst of the worst. When I worked for them they did every thing wrong. Anything you have ever heard of about any company they have done and worse. I was hoping they would go under after they lost there last law suit but they are still here. I don't know how thou. I see 1 of there trucks every now and again. I would not recommend that the worst driver ever go to work for these bumms. But I wish you luck.

I have been here for 3 months now, and until recently have been happy, I had a team driver for awhile but we were NOT getting the miles, They <ARCTIC> have been hogtied for a lack of runs, Most have been from Colgate-Palmolive (HEAVY), to APL in Grand Prairie, TX, but that is where it gets interesting, After you MT (Yes..Live unload), you get a crappie Broker load that is what nobody else wants. Here is the delemna, with 2 exceptions the dispatchers are great people, ONE especially (A former Driver). They have one of the co-owners as the Safety guru <and this is THE PROBLEM> Your truck never gets a bath, so you are PRIME to get looked at by the DOT. So hope you can afford to wash their equiptment for free, I CAN'T. I have had 1 late load since being here (34 inches of snow). Now for the real deal, Nomatter HOW HARD, OR HOW FAST you run (governed), Your dollar stops with TRIP PACK, so unless you happen to be in the neighborhood, and can stop by their offices to turn your paperwork in by hand (YOUR SCREWED). I Personally do not care for their run routine, or their primary freight lanes.

PART II. All in all, I cannot say that I have been treated unfairly here, But the biggest deficit within this company is their maintenance, frankly it scares the HELL out of me, your life is in that vehicles maintenance i.e. this vehicle has been written-up 5 times in 2 months with 1 resultant repair......... so now you see the despair. I WILL SAY THIS for ARCTIC, You are NEVER, EVER under any circumstance encouraged to driver in Inclement weather (WHOOPEE), the latest news is that they now have more runs "WALMART" 1500 peryear vs 600 previous. Me personally, I am a homeboy, and if I can't find local work, I will go back into aircraft repair (which is down from avg 24.55 per hour to 13.00 per hour. PS 1 more note........ I have met some real disapointed drivers here, of which most are now gone........why: HOMETIME, their policy is, YOU MUST APPLY FOR THIS (even though you have earned it) (SOCIALISM RULES)

    Lonesome Thanks this.

I am now amongst the unemployed, and looking for a job, I came into the shop, and had to argue about repairs to the truck....safety doesn't mean a thing here....man life sucks these days......just when you think you have a home.....

Call I can say is STAY AWAY from this company. My husband worked there...and they want you to be out 6 weeks and home for 4 days. WTH....Plus we live in Texas and they knew this when he was hired. They gave him the run around about signing his lease. Well long story short....he doesn't work there anymore.
