Sorry, don't have the VIN or ESN/CPL available.
My neighbour called me the other day, having issues with no power to the fuel pump solenoid on his truck. I believe he said it was a 2000 or 2001 FL80 with an 8.3L Cummins. He says its a mechanical fuel pump on it but I can't confirm anything as I have not laid eyes on it yet. Just gathering some information right now.

Bosch p pump is an inline pump. Shut down solenoid has 3 wires. Hold in, pull in & ground. Pull in is a high amp
circuit that's energized when the starter is engaged. Hold in has key power low amperage circuit. Typically if there's
no key power to the hold in the engine will fire & shut off when you release the starter. No pull in the engine won't start
but you can key on & manually pull the solenoid to run & it will hold. By 2001 I would expect it to be a caps fuel system
which is very different. Electronic controls . Lots of pieces to it. Hopefully its older as caps stuff can
be hard to get & expensive.AModelCat Thanks this. -
I think its a caps system. He said something about that but couldn't remember until you jogged my memory.

2000 has a CAPS injection system, so it could be an electric lift pump (IIRR).
