Back in the '60s during a spell as a seafarer I was docked in a little port in the south of Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul, and the port was about 5 miles from what passed as a fun town. My mates and I piled into an old pre war American cab one night and all went well for the first 5 minutes then suddenly all went black no lights outside of the cab and no lights on the road. The driver was not alarmed, in the dim light from the dash we saw him reach in his pocket for a bit of rolled up silver cigarette paper and then disappeared under the dash, the cab was still rolling he never lifted his foot, after what seemed like ages he re-emerged having replaced the old 'fuse' that had obviously burned out, and carried on as if nothing had happened. Not a word was said.
Best of luck with your new venture. If you get on it is so much better. And watch out for those cab drivers, I've done that too, in Sydney and Nottingham, but never quite like Rio Grande do Sul.

Unloading this morning at a Hutterite Community south of Cut Bank.
And no, I had never heard the word Hutterite before. Community homes in the middle.

Aw they don't bite.
Pretty decent folk for the most part. -
Super nice, and smart like you don't see much anymore. I visited a few minutes before I left.
First guy pulled up in a RTV at 6:50 with a Busch Light in the cupholder. Said he'd been milkin cows. He asked if I had ever been to a Community.
I told him no, and I had to give it a Google to see what I was getting into. He said they were pretty much like the Amish.
Cool folks. -
