I'm pretty sure in the Iron series there isn't much difference in size (dimensions), but a little different seating positions. And of course a little heavier.

I normally refer to them as Easy Bake Ovens.

The 1200 is literally just a bored out 883. They are the same frame. You can even buy a kit from HD that was new pistons and jugs to turn an 883 into a 1200. The bottom end and transmission are identical.

The Iron is just a bobbed tail single seat 883 trim. The 883 generally comes as a mid control bike with your knees at more of a 90° angle while seated. The 1200s were usually forward controls.

I'm also a smaller guy at 5'5" and I was comfortable on the 883 with mid controls but it definitely was lacking on the highway.

All of this is based on 2013 models as that's what I had and was comparing at the time I bought mine.

Ironhead 1000, I’m over 6’. Probably fit you decent. Never had an issue walking the dog on the big roads….
