I pulled into Tipp City OH this morning with 2029 miles on the 4th night of driving this week(end) 14 hours to get home to Lansing MI ,, been getting $600.00-$700.00+(after taxes) a week running between 1800 and 2400 miles in the 5 nights I drive but be perpared to do your whole 70 in 5 days every week , I have been to MI,IN,IL,OH and KY in the last 4 nights, we hit WI and touch into MO also there is a dedicated NE run, but the oldtimers lock it down I have never seen it in almost 2 years, did go to Nogales AZ once right after I started but never again have west St.Louis or south of Lexington KY... take my 10 hr break and back out for the final 14hrs tonight, go home in the morning about 8-9 am and then off until 8pm thursday....

Stupid forum wouldnt let me reset my password so I had to create a new acct. Anyways I would have to agree with Locdrjr, they are a decent place to work. Being on a dedicated acct I don't get to travel all the states like the other guys do. When that acct is slow i have been to MI, OH, IN, IL, KY and IA but usually stay in MI OH IN and occasionally IL.

I have had 2 trucks. The first one I started in wasn't too bad it had been refurbished and repainted and for my first ever big truck i thought it was good. I had that for a little over 2 months then got put into am almost new truck(Target guys don't get the ones with fridges though :biggrin_25513:) I have had that truck ever since and prolly wouldn't give it up even if they wanted to give me on with a fridge, its kinda grew on me!

The miles are pretty steady, being on target we usually average a few more than the open board drivers do and lately i have been just under 2500 a week but after benefits and taxes im bringing home in between 600 and 750 or so. Other than that things are great, the dispatchers all know your name, know how you like to run, and can usually run you how you like to run. Thats another thing with being on Target and living so close to the DC, I get home for my ten hr a few times a week.

Hey Lockdrjr, i never got your last message almost 2yrs ago, I am in truck 1215 now and don't really see that changing anytime soon. Its kinda funny we started around the same time, and its coming up on 2yrs and i have yet to meet you or at least figure out who you were. Not that us Target guys get out on open board much.

If anyone wants to wade through 7 pages of posts, you'll see that I drove for NTB for a little over eight years. It's nice to know they're still a decent company to work for.

Yeah I think they are a pretty good company to work for... Occasionally you get a little bit of BS here and there from dispatchers but for the most part, I love it here. Mind you though this is the only company I have worked for so I can't say its any better or worse than other companies but from the stories I have heard I think I will stay around for a while longer.

Hemi ,I am assigned 1194 but unlike you at target they slipseat it out from under me when I go home( my 2nd biggest complaint ) I haven't been to 587 in a good long while , but for a couple months I was there every Thursday night coming off home time.... dispatch even joke, I run more Target then the Target drivers...I am the Big shaved head corn fed guy (6'2" 355lbs) wearing a tye-dye or some kind of Lions, Wolverines T-shirt and a gold chain with a cross on my neck! ya can't miss me :) even if you throw the other way.... LOL, I think you can see me in my trucking photo's knealing next to my friends show car/ hot rod you you care to look.

I'm glad you're doing well. I read the newsletter on the NTB website but it seems they've quit updating. Last newsletter posted was back in November. The offer for dinner or breakfast is still open if you find the time.

    Locdrjr Thanks this.

Hello, I am new to the forum and just wondered if any of you are still working for NTB and what you think of them now? I am considering a change into driving truck but need to get my CDL still and am very interested in NTB from what I have found in my research. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
