No doubt there Road Medic. Its funny wher I drive they were heavy on patrolling during winter and we had overweight permits but now that the road restrictions are on I dont see any of them.

Its a yearly thing , well advertised , also reason so many go on VACATION for those 2 weeks.
See more JUNK parked thoe 2 weeks in out of the way places around Ontario. -
The CVSA site says June 8-10/2010.

They seem to be hittin pretty hard this year in Vancouver, I guess they are getting their inspections out of the way early since the weather has been pretty mild this winter, even by Vancouver standards. Perhaps it could just be that I haul containers outta the port and may as well have a giant target on my back!
Luckily I got snagged at the Parksville scale on Vancouver Island And got my green sticker so they've been leaving me alone for the most part! Doesn't hurt driving a 2009 Volvo either

Yeh they always sit in the port and check you over while waiting to get into Centerm or Vanterm. Haven't seen much of CVSA guys this year since I don't go to the ports at all anymore, which is great on both accounts.

Ya u got that right disorder! You know what it's like in the container business out here, it's like shooting fish in a barrel finding trucks with violations. Our main problem with the CVSA is down at deltaport. One way in, one way out and you can't avoid them.
Then you got the Delta Police Commercial Vehicle Inspection Unit bustin our balls writing tickets like theres no tomorrow. I've recently seen them training Surrey bylaw enforcement officers to dish out tickets to can haulers too! City coffers must be low I suppose, everyones trying to get a piece of the action these days
