Well; that's funny. Both have yards right here and I know a recent grad with a felony and they won't give him the time of day.![]()

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

guess its a good thing i never asked them for the time of day. i worked for averitt for over a year and paschall for almost a year. averitt changes stuff so much i cant say what they will and wont take now days. as of december 2009 paschall will still hire me and i still have serveral felonys. i would steer clear of paschall unless that was a last resort. arrow trucking was the only company that i ever worked for that was more lenient than paschall. now arrow would hire a goat if he could fill out a log book. but then again you see how they ended up.

PTL's website reads felony must be over 5 years.

I am going through a truck driving school (Have my Class A just no recent) for CRST. I have a felony from 1996. They require it to be at least 10 years old. Hope this helps.

Hi there I was curious I seen that people have said that with a felony they still got hazmat. I have a 4 year old drug felony and I was under the impression that once you have a felony your not getting a hazmat. I was wondering how it really works. Thanks
-
Just certain felonies will prevent you from getting a hazmat endorsement. Its mostly up to each state since its a CDL deal.
-
You can look up how to get your hazmat endorsement on the internet, and its a federal thing not state. Hubby just got his in December, you have to get the Fed background and fingerprint check, BEFORE you go to the state to test, to add it to your license. You test with the state, and the state puts it on your CDL, but only if the Feds say its okay. From what I remember, your more routine felonies are okay, treason however is not.
