Very easy to get out of a shaker.. Both steps are right under each other not spread apart. Unlike the steps on the T-600.

The pilot north of OKC on 35 has a guy in a trailer with used tires for decent prices. If he has them in stock.

Or a T-8 with the battery box steps are easier than a T-6, nice big step on the bottom vs. the smaller steps built into the fairing on the T-6. The elevator in town got a couple used Western Stars that were set up for pulling lowboys offroad, with 11Rx24.5s. The first step to get into the cab is a loooong ways off the ground, the driver that had been in a freightliner before was doing a lot of complaining!

I wish we could send some rain your way, we've had plenty. Its going to be at least the weekend before anyone gets in the field here, and that's if we would miss the rain predicted for tonight and tomorrow. I can't remember what dry weather is like. :yes2557::biggrin_2551:

Well, I got the trailer back to the yard this morning, and got a clean inspection on it. Now I need to get down to OK, and I'm about halfway there so far - stopped for lunch near Wichita. I counted 16 hoppers sitting in the yard up there, including the one I just dropped.

I called the contact on the trailer, and got sent to his voicemail - it's been 2 hours and I haven't heard back yet. Told him I could be there by 5pm today, if the trailer was ready to go. Not too enthused about hanging around waiting, I'd rather be home. I also let the guy know that I was near his main yard in Wichita, if there was anything headed down to OK I could take it since I'm going anyway. Still no reply. Gotta wonder sometimes, but I have better things to be thinking about myself. :)

If they are like most places I have dealt with, the trailer has not been touched yet. The want you to leave, and then sell it to someone that doesn't know what to look for.

Good luck with the trailer, Hwy. If they jerk you around, be sure and post the name of the place so everyone else knows not to do business with them.

What is the price of fuel where everyone is at? It went to $3.19 here in town (west central IL) today, had been $2.95 for a while. I thought that was a big friggin jump. :biggrin_2554:

3.07 here. I hadn't paid any attention since I've been transferring this week...don't use much fuel. That is a big jump in price. I'm sure the rates will go up accordingly, yeah right:biggrin_25513:

Come on down to central Ky.and I'll show you what dry weather is like so you won't forget, its rained 35 miles to the north of us,20 miles to the south,65 miles to the west, and 70 miles to the east.I hate to see the rains this spotty in April, makes me wonder what June and July are going to be like:biggrin_2556::biggrin_25524:

    $2.83 in Danville today.From $2.95 to $3.19, that is a big jump

Well Hwy,it seems your luck is rubbing off on me:biggrin_2559:,I took my last load of corn down today and deadheaded 112 miles to pick up the load of DDG that I was supposed to get yesterday and just as I pulled under the drop hopper, the ''union guy'' says they are broke down, just take a minute or 2 to fix and they will get me loaded:biggrin_25526:,well,that was at 2:38 pm,soooo...... at 8:42 pm, 6 hours and 4 minutes they finally started loading me:biggrin_25513:,I told the guy, shucks,i think i could scoop it on that fast:yes2557:,i guess I'll start tommorrow off ''unloading instead of loading'' :biggrin_25523:

Wind blew hard here all afternoon too,Wheathauler.Maybe it will blow a little rain in here. Just about jerked the tarp out of my hand today,it was blowing so hard:biggrin_25524:
