A decision wasn't reached at the accident since the driver and passenger of the four wheeler were rushed to a hospital and couldn't be questioned. From my account to the police, the car was passing myself and the log truck in front of me. We had slowed so the log truck could make a right hand turn, he did this properly and signaled. As he made the turn several logs that were dragging on the roadway were now out in the lane being used by the car and the car never slowed, the logs ended up in the car. I have a feeling that since the logs were dragging on the road it will be the truckers fault. The police thanked me for staying and using my truck, and warning triangles to block the intersection. They continued to use it after they arrived.

Oh yea! I forgot! lol Ironic story,,,,, a truck driver parked his truck in a lil mom & pop truck stop for the night. A drunk driver missed his turn and ran into the parked truck. Turns out, the truck driver was at fault because his log book didn't show him stopping there and being in sleeper berth. Therefore the ruling was that if the truck driver was current on his log book he wouldn't of been parked there and the drunk driver wouldn't of hit his truck. Seriously?? We are in a no win situation these days. Be careful out there yall !!!

Good job Vette1967! Most drivers would've just drove on by. You did the right thing. Thank goodness for no fatalities! Your quick decisions and actions probably prevented any further accidents....or fatality.

    fr8tshkr and Vette1967 Thank this.

Good to have you and Cathy back on the roads LMB! We've been having fun in WY... and not the kind you are thinking of, you jinked us on that one. Had a pre plan that didn't pick up for over 24 hours... went to eat dinner, got back that one canceled and now on our way to UT. We're been been sliding and skating... MT don't you know... on ice, blowing snow and high winds. Chains went on... stopped for accidents... moving again and finally chains are off and the sun it out. A long day so far with few miles to show for it. The life of a truck driver, eh?
