Where is everyone #5

Hopefully a jeep or RZR? And tow the toy hauler. Or anything bumper pull. Or we can load the bikes / kayaks and go. Basically an overgrown pickup.

 

Nice plan. It'll tow better than any pickup too. Curious what kind of mileage it will get. Obvious it won't be working hard.

 

Right? That’s what I was thinking too? I was hoping for a solid 9 mpg and maybe 10? As good as any modern pickup truck can do hauling 15k or 20k lbs? Truck should be less than $20k all in by the time I’m done I hope?

 

I get about 12-14 depending on speed and wind direction with my 5th wheel. Weighs about 17-18K loaded with the SXS and water tanks full. But it's a lot to handle a 45ft trailer with a single rear wheel pickup and I'm technically over the GVWR by a couple hundred pounds. Don't tow it that often though. I'm sure you won't even notice that camper behind you.

 

Back to church on Sunday. Have to ask a friend if he wants to dust off his KW and come out and work part-time. Well part-time is what I told myself and two others. We are leaning toward full-time and need some help! I keep thinking it is a one off and that turns out to be not true either. My one trip to NJ has turned into a weekly turn. Same thing with PA. Ahh well it pays so maybe I will just thank 'the man' while there on Sunday and be greatful.

 

That's the plan. Should have it all figured out in the next day or two

Yeah my problem is I can’t afford one of these new pickup trucks… And heaven forbid one breaks down outa warranty while out on vacation.

And where I like to vacation is 1500 miles away so usually 3000 miles round tip for us. Drivin this thing will just feel like a week at work with a broke down ELD…
