I wouldn't leave mail with a person at a truck stop or leave a letter on a counter with the other letters waiting to be picked up by the mailman.
The only place I will leave a letter is INSIDE the post office at the drop slot in the lobby. I don't even trust those blue mailboxes on the street anymore. Sad to say.tscottme, nextgentrucker, Puppage and 2 others Thank this. -

If you need to mail something you will need to either FedEx it (many trucks stops have a drop box) or swing by a post office.nextgentrucker Thanks this. -
I'm not sure how it'll work since I heard UPS got the mail contract. And I'm sure there's something I'm missing with that, but Fed Ex drops in the town closest to me used to accept US Mail, but the Post Office wouldn't take Fed Ex packages.
I learned this by first hand experience due to a very condescending USPS employee who informed me that "we don't take that.... Next"
When I went to the Fed Ex drop in town afterwards, they had a separate area for US Mail, and they delivered it to the Post Office daily.
Makes one wonder why that postal employee had a job.Bud A. Thanks this. -
