Double Clutching or Float at Werner

any luck with a new company yet? have you tried going back with werner?

 

Werners policy (as is most carriers) is to double-clutch. This is due to manufacturer reccomendations. If you check the manuals for Eaton or Arvin/Meritor they both require double clutching. In fact if the tansmission locks up and they can show you were floating they will deny warrenty coverage for the repairs. That said how you drive your truck is up to you, personally I prefer floating.

 

I've had a few offers but I'm still trying to decide. Werner did say they would consider rehiring me but I don't want to go back with them.

 

May i ask why you wouldnt go back with them?

 

Its just that the experience I had with them was horrible to put it mildly and I dont think it would be any better if I go back.

 

I really hope that my experience is going to be better cause they are the only ones that will hire me

 

Double clutching isn't so bad, I just hope I don't have to drive a standard shift car anytime soon lol.

 

I thought about about going back because im having a hard time finding anyone to hire me because I was fired from there but I changed my mind.
