Double Clutching or Float at Werner

    Werners policy (as is most carriers) is to double-clutch. This is due to manufacturer reccomendations. If you check the manuals for Eaton or Arvin/Meritor they both require double clutching. In fact if the tansmission locks up and they can show you were floating they will deny warrenty coverage for the repairs. That said how you drive your truck is up to you, personally I prefer floating.

    I've had a few offers but I'm still trying to decide. Werner did say they would consider rehiring me but I don't want to go back with them.

    Its just that the experience I had with them was horrible to put it mildly and I dont think it would be any better if I go back.

    Double clutching isn't so bad, I just hope I don't have to drive a standard shift car anytime soon lol.:biggrin_25524:

    I thought about about going back because im having a hard time finding anyone to hire me because I was fired from there but I changed my mind.

    Ive tried Swift, Watkins shepard, Knight, Con-way,Tmc, Roehl,Falcon,Us express, Trans Am, Prime, Stevens transport, USA truck, transport america
