Please, just stop doing this

When I nose in I only do it in a spot that will never be blocked for long, like straight across from pumps or at the end of an aisle.

 

Yeah but watching back into each other is part of the fun. And just be glad you don’t watch them take a piss.

 

I got to the point where I tried to find a spot to nose in that I was reasonable certain that I could back out of for one reason. If I'm nosed in to a parking spot, there's a lot less chance of pedro from pakistan ripping the radiator out of my truck when he's leaving the truckstop running through the gears as fast as his autoshift volvo will cycle or taking my mirrors out as he tries to back in almost beside me.

 

Some of the throttle jockey's I’ve seen ripping rubber through the truck stop is just unbelievable!!!

Setting in Elizabethtown, KY few months back when a red Volvo passed another truck and flew into the fuel pumps, total idiots….!!

When I was OTR and got my bumper ripped off by some driver not being able to back in my boss suggested pulling in instead of backing in. I’ve had my sleeper scrubbed before too when I was in the sleeper by a trailer.

If you get your front end taking off it could be months before a body shop can repair it also. I’ve seen some bad ones where the truck won’t be able to drive. Imagine if you’re an owner operator. That’s a lot of money or bankruptcy if your truck isn’t running.

 

The newer reefers, are pretty quiet and they run pretty nice and steady so it’s easy to sleep with them. At least the ones at the company I work for. Some of them sound like a Gatlin machine gun if you get the older models. I parked next to running trucks, that were idling for the night and I could hear them over my reefer. I still try be polite and park off to the side somewhere when I can by myself and that way I figure if another driver comes in, they can choose whether they wanna park next to a reefer or not.

A lot of times drivers pull in face first when they’re sure they come back out easily and there’s an open space behind them because they don’t wanna hear a reefer next to them. Or They got one themselves. It’s not always always because they can’t back in.
