I heard a boom

It's a very short trailer so the weight on the nose pushed the trailer over while the landing gear stayed intact like a lever.

 

Might just see a few trailer jack stands at this facility in the near future.

But not this particular jack stand.

This jack stand is clean. The left wheel is not bent or missing, the turn handles are also not bent or spackled with 5th wheel grease. Lastly, the plastic handle is still attached to the stand.

 

And those wheels are still straight!

 

Probably raises and lowers, too!

 

For the kids in the back of the class. It's a reefer pup trailer. They will tip over if they are nose heavy and not sitting on a tractor.
So when you drop one in a door, you do like you normally would except you stop just a little forward after you drop it, you walk around the front of the tractor (never between the trailer and the tractor) and then lift up a little bit on the the handle for the anti-tip bar to release the tension on the pin, you make sure you are clear of the path of the anti-tip bar, and then you pull the pin and let the bar drop. Then you lift the bar up to where the foot is an inch or two off the ground and pin in back in place. Then the trailer can be safely unloaded or loaded.
The other "well, shoot" thing that guys do is not notice the bar is down and try to hook up, which usually ends in the bar being bent and having to be cut off and replaced.
