    Hi everyone,

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on replacing my dead 810mi cascadia dd13. It was deleted and I enjoyed that.

I don't really plan a remaining in trucking for more than a year-ish. Should I buy the cheapest truck possible? Im hauling hazmat waste tanker and average 2$ all miles and work is steady so far. Thinking 40k for a cascadia or mack anthem 450-500k miles? Or..45k for a glider truck 60series/n14?

    Thanks

Something like this with 500-600k around 25k$. This one was on my watch list today.

Less than a year-ish? Best money is to hang up the keys! I can’t think of a scenario where investing in a questionably reliable deprecating asset wouldn’t be a gamble if you have months…..not years left!

Not the Mack Anthem. I’ve heard too many horror stories about the newer Macks. I’d go for a Freightliner Cascadia with around 350,000-400,000 miles. Your better off paying $10-15,000 more for a truck and have less downtime than trying to save it and get a higher mile truck.

$2 a mile and wanting out I wouldn’t even bother

cheap purchase price on a old truck doesn’t mean cheap to run…
sincerely, someone who runs a old truck every day

GATR in Sauk Rapids MN has some trades from Viessman Volvos with 500,000 for around $50,000.00. D13, automatic some with wide based super singles, some are being converted to duals. Most are single sleeper I would purchase one but my wife says no.

Can someone explain what is appealing about hauling for $2 a mile, especially HAZMAT and $2?
