Well you have drivers that who are kind of weird. If they know they have to merge right or left, and you try to slow down or speed up (depending on where that car is), it’s like they get scary and don’t know what to do. Or those drivers who want to race to the end of the merging lane
Safety termination, no accidents or damages no one was hurt

Something tells me we're not getting the full story......
flood, Speedy356, bryan21384 and 3 others Thank this. -
When Western Express turned me down I ended up at Paschall Truck Lines. I was fired from my previous company for a much more serious issue. Maybe give PTL a try.
bryan21384 Thanks this. -
100 percent agree.....there has to be more to that story. OP clearly lacks defensive driving skills.

The company safety department discussed with me that if someone cuts in front of you, come up of of cruise control and start slowing down. After that meeting I’ve done just that, had no complaints. The instance that got me fired, was me in the far right lane and a 4 door car coming in from the entrance ramp/merging lane (this lane had plenty of space for them to accelerate or get behind me). I’m slowing down like you should but that car chose to stay next to me instead of accelerating or atleast slowing down to get behind me. That was recorded because I didn’t “slow down enough” or slam on the brakes.bryan21384 Thanks this.

The car was supposed to speed up. Technically the car was in the wrong. Nobody is ever gonna see it that way once you become a trucker. In a situation like that going forward, you need to either move over to the next lane, or start slowing down long before you even get parallel with the acceleration lane. As truckers, we have to have some sense of anticipation. 4 wheelers are not quite as knowledgeable about how to drive so as truckers we have to think for them. It shouldn't be this way, but that's what it is because we are "professional drivers." They may be loose with who gets CDL-A licenses, but they are even more loose with Class Ds. Just have a better smese of anticipation in the future and you'll be fine.mstrchf117 Thanks this.

I remember you saying you were at PTL. Are you still there? If so, did the miles get better?

Thanks for the advice. I don’t lack defensive driving skills but I definitely understand now. It’s a pain.
