Dad drove cabovers his whole career. 19 years at Borden’s, then 19 years at Southland Corp.

 

Bet you miss the old fords

 

None are mine but hey they’re all cab overs

 

Still have my 1979. It’s been parked after driving it 24 years.

 

@Diesel Dave you’re my hero, driving a cabover for 24 years! I only had to endure them for about 3 years before switching to an R model Mack. Drove a variety of them in those few years, Internationals, Macks, a Peterbilt and even a GMC like @bags had. I was impressed with how quiet that jimmy was…

 

I kept everything OEM in this truck. Everything worked. For the ride, I added the Air Cabmate, Koni front shocks. It rode great for a COE, then I got old and the ride changed . Not to mentioned I had to upgrade anyways. I kept this truck cleaned and polished, always received compliments on the truck. It’s hard to part with, maybe they’ll bury me in it.
