Not really one for taking photos. Had to modify the plans a bit because it was snowing on the route we originally planned. Rained most of the day on the alternate route but still had a blast.
It was really nice the next day so I went on a 2 hour tour up a twisty, high elevation highway.

She's still sporting those band-aids, eh?

She's a boss, that's for sure.

Nevermind.

She's teaching you already and you never even know it. Daughters have a way of teaching us fathers. They probably call it training.
Either way, I'd say you're both doing it pretty dahm well.
Looks like a nice ride!
I'm at the point I think i'd be comfortable with the wife riding with me. I've been looking for a bigger touring bike. Early 00's or so. Would like fuel injected. I'm thinking a BMW, but not set yet.
We've been tossing around an Alaska trip. That would be an adventure on a bikeLast edited: May 25, 2024

I've learned I'm not much a fan of riding with others. Buddy I went on the ride with has a couple more seasons of experience than I, the rain didn't even phase him. I had never ridden in a torrential downpour before so I played it safe and rode within my abilities. Straights were fine but the fresh, wet pavement on the corners was a bit sketch until I learned how the bike responded.
Yep. Its a good bike considering its age.
Thank you. Its a work in progress. Still need to get that valve cover shined up and the kick/center stands powder coated.jamespmack, OLDSKOOLERnWV, MACK E-6 and 9 others Thank this. -
Be careful of sand ,dirt and loose gravel in corners also , especially in blind corners in the mountains. Also when it's wet beware of highway markings ,stop lines RR crossing markings and tar snakes. They all get slippery.jamespmack, OLDSKOOLERnWV, MACK E-6 and 7 others Thank this.
