Say is that Kavin still there? Just a heads up, he is a snake and a liar. On a better note, good luck with your trainer and be safe.
Should be starting Roehl in late February

Kavin left Roehl 6 months or so back. His wife took a good job somewhere and they moved.

Good riddance. Hope they moved far far away.

Met my trainer this morning. He seems to be a pretty pleasant man, been with Roehl for about 10 years. We picked up a trailer in Gary, IN and made it to one of the three Home Depot drops in central Michigan, got two more to take care of tomorrow. Pretty blustery up here, snowing and a wind chill of 17 or so. I drove for about 250 miles today, back is a little sore but I am sure it will acclimate with a few days of driving. So far so good.

Get that six way adjustable seat set up right for you and you should be able to ride all day and not have a sore back. of course if you are unloading by hand your gonna get stiff and sore. But see if you can set hat seat and if it helps. LT DAN -
Sounds like a good start! Stay safe Driver!

I will give that seat adjusting more of a try. Today I drove a little over 300 miles, traversed across central Michigan and back again. Picked up a load of water that has us about maxed out on weight, actually a little over on the steers but the trainer said that amount won't matter although he did send in a QC to gain permission to run it a little over. Some knothead had left the trailer we had to pick up jacked up about 6 inches over the top of the platform, how the hell does someone do that, makes no sense. Stuck at a podunk truckstop tonight and will probably stop in Gary tomorrow on the way to Spring Valley, IL to have a bent rim looked at along with a much needed shower
All in all a decent day, guess my trainer feels pretty confident as he spent much of the traveling time dozing off
A pretty nice guy, even lets me listen to the blues most of the day while driving.

As others have said the OptiStop system in notarps words is pretty jacked up. I have only had two routings so far and both were screwed up. Today tried to send us over a restricted road. Supposedly they are hiring on someone new to try and fix the system but I bet it is going to take quite some time to rectify all of the screwups in it if my limited experience is anything to go by. No good replacing common sense and some map reading ability with some program that is hosed up.

Another day in the books. We dropped the load of water off in Spring Valley, IL and are now sitting at the boarder of WI/IL until the morning when we pick up a load of paper and head to Denver (Aurora). Should be a couple of days of easy sailing out west.
Nothing much to speak about in regard to the driving today, knocked out 300 miles so about 900 for the 3 days out thus far. My trainer has been pretty cool. Treated me to breakfast this morning and continues to offer some pretty good vittles to me during our lunch breaks
Did get the chair adjusted a little better today I believe as my back never really started hurting today while driving which is really nice. -

those seats take a little while to get used to but once you get it right you can run an 11 hr drive and your back will not hurt you may still get a little stiff for a while yet it took me a couple months to figure that silly thing out .
