Howdy from Brooklyn, NY

I was out of the game for a while and now contemplating getting back in again. Doing some researches and shopping around. I was an OTR O/O (chicken hauler) since mid 90s till two years ago, running 48 + Canada. I was leased onto a carrier in MO for most part. Was looking to do something major when I got out but the deal fell apart and I got behind the wheel again.
Pass two yrs I've spent in Jamaica, NY sticking 53" dry boxes into blindsided indoor / outdoor warehouse docks that I thought was "tricky" when I first got here. I found out that when you don't have any experience driving a big truck, you're to "dumb" to know that the trailer wouldn't fit and you just stick it in there> Handled import/export out of the airlines, running up north as far as Essex Jct, VT - heading our west to Carlisle, PA and as far south as Washington, DC areas. Head out in the morning with multiple pick ups / drop offs - be back by afternoon to del pick ups to freight forwarders - go eat - reload from forwarders to do export at airlines. Longer hrs than when I was training trainees in winter going over Donner but what ever.
Anyhow looking to do some skateboarding with my own truck and skateboad. Think I found something (carrier, type of truck and possibly type of trailer) of interest but want to get several backups before I jumped back in. So I'm lurking around trying to smell the time before I commit the crime so to speak.
