conflicting axle weights

You could be legal up to 100k if all those axles are 20k rated.

 

That’s not exactly true. It may be a little more accurate to have the whole truck on the scale only if it’s a single platform scale.
Just look at all the Cat scales and most DOT scales at weigh stations. They almost all have individual platforms in the more modern stations.

 

Yes, but they are all reading in unison to give you a total actual weight.

 

Okay, I see what you're saying, it just took a minute to sink in, the brain damage is more severe than normal today.

 

If you add all of the axle weights it will equal the total gross weight. Is the axle scale on level ground so that the whole combination stays level no matter which axle is on the scale? If you can't keep the combination level, from front to back, then you won't get accurate weights to add to reach the gross weight.
