But the good news is that since it's just a 90 card, you can go back to where you got your first 2 year card and recertify.
Here's a pro tip.....don't admit to anything. If they ask you how you sleep, tell them you sleep like a new born baby.....all night, every night.

I wouldn't run it out for 90 days, actually you could do it now. I wouldn't if it was issued last week because you'll be accused of doctor shopping. But give it 45 or 60 days and go back to the clinic that issued your 2 year card and you'll be fine.

 

Nope. It would be considered dr shopping if the first dude only gave you a 90 day card. Calm down. You'll be fine.

 

Penn DOT is not your primary problem. Once that 2nd physical hit the FMCSA it voided the first physical and is currently the only active one in the CDLIS. You are going to have to get a sleep study. I don't see any reasonable way around it. I also suggest you do so quickly OR self-certify exempt, because if you don't you will lose your CDL. This BS still makes me want to throw things. That idiot ME is using OSA standards that are not currently valid. You can get a 2nd opinion and it's not doctor shopping if you can find a 2nd examiner who will give you a longer card after they are told about the current physical, sadly almost all MEs refuse to do it.

 

Then don't do it or say anything.
Simply walk in and say you need a DOT physical. They don't as if you have a current one. Once again, don't offer any information that isn't required.

 

AS soon Dr office reports they gave their exam any previous DOT card becomes canceled. Sleep study & CPAP devices are pretty common. Sometimes company insurance will pay or trucking company will pay now and take it out of your pay over time. Now you have a 3 month card. 2 yr card is no longer valid.
