Get on as a dock worker with Old Dominion, FedEx Freight, Saia, ABF, XPO, R&L carriers, and Estes. Driving a forklift is easy. I know FedEx freight, ABF, Saia, and Old Dominion have dock to driver programs. Just make good money driving a forklift in the mean time til they allow you to drive. Ask during the interview. Guys make more money on these docks then new CDL drivers on the road. A lot of these companies especially Saia cause I used to work there are constantly training dock guys to drive.

Seriously....the CDL job market has turned...& even drivers with good records are now struggling to find decent work.

You'd be far better off for the near-term at least to pursue one of the dock-to-driver programs mentioned above.

In the meantime -- do all you can to keep your driving & criminal history sparkling clean.

Also -- if you do recreational drugs -- go ahead now, & quit.

74 in a 40? Wow man.....you were getting somewhere weren't you? Just do better man. While you're waiting, practice paying attention to the speed limit signs because that's going to be apart of your training.

I have! I haven't smoke anything in the last 3 months waiting for this opportunity. Recently pass my permit test just to get denied by pam. It hurts but I did learn my lesson and I will wait a bit long. My mvr has been ok since incident. August will make it 3 years.

It's this worth it? My 3 year mark will be in just two months should I not just wait it out? Or will I still get denied by most? So far I have only applied with pam. I'm scared to try others for refection, so I'm waiting a bit longer

You quit smoking 3 mos. ago.
Stay clean and try the WIOA program.
Don't deal with a hair follicle test.
Try with companies that do urine test only.
