May 20 is the last day of classes for the kiddies I haul back and forth. I'd to make a driving school decision by April 16 but I'm prepared to stretch the time a little if I don't feel comfortable enough with any of the carriers who are willing to take me on. We'll see!!

Congrats jas. Be forewarned USX does have its quirks for orientation. I would go with WSE. Squire is part of Knight. I do wish more would hire out of FL. CRST is good but they run a tight schedule.

Yes i was also leaning toward wse.I also have talked with windy hill, they seem like nice folk's. I would like to go with a smaller company as apposed to the usuall big boy's.So what are you're choices for school oldnewbe? Maybe someone here can offer you some insite.
JustSonny Thanks this. -
I've also been looking at carriers with in-house schools. Roehl looks good but last time I talked with Roehl they were not hiring in my area. PAM and Swift are possibilities. Swift gets a lot of bad rap but, like "they" say, everyone starts somewhere. We'll see! -
Good luck oldy. From what i've read roehl sond's like you;re best choice. I have finally made a choice on where i am going. I should be starting with wse on may 2nd. I did not want to go with crst or us express. My only other choice's were wse or windy hill. I went with wse because they can get in and out of florida without any problem's. Sure hope this is true, if not i'll suck it up until something else come's along.I also have a classmate going too.It will be cool to have a homy at the same company.Well until next time, y'all drive safe.

I recieved confirmation today. Got a call from wiilis shaw saying that i am in fact hired on. Willis shaw check's everything before you show up for orietation. This way you know you are hired before hand. To bad all the other companie's don't. It would save alot of headache's.And thus on may 3rd my journey begin's. 2 1/2 day's of orientation then 10,000 mile's with a trainer and i'll be runing solo. And yes i know that they are automatic's,but i don't care right now. I am so glad to be working after 18 month's on unemployment.

If anybody has been through sage, feel free to chime in.Is this typical???[/QUOTe
I went with SAGE corp . at LCTI in schnecksville and it was the best 4 weeks i have ever had ,i had a lot of fun while i was being trained !! very friendly instructors and very great staff !! we got one on one training ,and one on one while driving on the road ( not like some schools where they make you drive with 5 more students in the back with you ) .i would recommend SAGE # LCTI any day of the week -
Good luck. -
