Don't rule out reefers. You won't be doing the unloading anyway. These days companies pay a lumper service to do the unloading. Sometime you can do the unloading if you want to and get extra pay for that.
One example is FFE (Frozen Food Express)

I don't trust the bonus program. Are they just looking for some bonus money?

I’m guessing you probably trained with the CDL school at the petro truckstop in bordentown? I’ve heard those guys are only good at getting you the CDL but after that you’re on your own. Personally I would have went the mega carrier route where they’ll pay for schooling if you agree to work for them for a year. Now that you got your schooling they don’t have any advantage to hiring you since you can walk off any moment where as if you did their schooling you would have to work for them for a year or they would send you a bill. It’s a horrible experience but just do what most of us did which is suck it up and do your 1 year and then run.

IlI did 160 in Freehold. I have no restriction on my CDL. I get what you’re saying but my question is are there companies that I can still sign a 1 year contract with.?? I’m def open to that.

It’s a friend of my family. It seems that he’s trying to help me out. I’m sure the 2k bonus is a plus for him too tho.Chinatown Thanks this.
