Funny thing is...Most of these guys seem to sound exactly alike.
They all have the overmodulated missing front teeth trailer park sound...But I never hear anyone that sounds like that in the truckstop.
I guess some of these guys think it's cool to sound like an uneducated moron.
I had one talkin' #### about my wife one day at the Flyin' hook in Texarkana...You know, Runnin' his neck about what he'd like to do if she'd come over to his truck.
I got on and said " How'd you like someone to talk about your wife that way?"
He said " If you don't like it maybe I'll come over there and beat your ###"
I told him "Well you know where I am and I don't know where you are so...Do what you need to do! I'll even step out of the truck and wait for you if you'd like"
He never came over...
Most of the guys that talk all that crap are punks that have nothing to back any of their talk up with.
They will fade out of range pretty quickly and I will never hear their voice again...But they're stuck with their weak selves forever.

The kids today are different then they were 20 years ago. Glad I am not part of the dumb dumb crowd.
-
Funny...I used to hear guys that sounded just like these idiots in truckstops 20 years ago lookin' for "Lucille"...
Most of these guys now don't even know what that means!
You didn't hear much of that crap 30 years ago but 20 years ago isn't going far back enough!
-
Yeah but then again they probably do not care what anyone else thinks and is thinking "ha-ha I showed him"...meanwhile if I would have been in your shoes I'd be pissed/in a really bad mood for awhile.
But I guess that beats going to jail for assault, even though you'd probably feel a little better unloading on the a-hole that talked bad about your wife, even if it wasn't the right thing to do.
Yet 20 years ago you probably had more kids on the CB; todays kids probably don't even know what a CB is. Also back 20 years ago you probably didn't have as many echo radios/roger beeps/noise toys as you do today. -
Plenty of noise toys in mobiles 20 years ago,not many had them because they were new and pretty pricey.
That classic Connex echo is still a sweet sound if adjusted correctly.
CB's are like local new media,if you dont want to hear a bunch of BS then dont watch the channel.
Why be concerned with testosterone mismanagement ?

those guys are suckers for punishment. I like doing voice impersonations when they come on the radio. I'll have people laughing in a 10 mile radius. The only way a CB Rambo is effective is if he's talking to an uptight person. You can either slam 'em, or let him talk to himself, and then I just tell them to try and have a good day, because "your stuck living with yourself".
-
I like messing with people every now and then. Sometimes if I am really really bored, I will get my cell phone out and play music from it. I have my amp on and everything so it's getting out really good while I am doing this. Of course, after this many truck drivers will come back and say "your radio sounds like ####" or "that sounds like #### coming through my radio so your radio must be a piece of crap".
Then, I will wait a second and come back on the air and ask how my radio is sounding. All of a sudden it's "man that radio is soundin' real good". Hahahaha. -
I would think this just adds to the problems on CB radio today.bullhaulerswife Thanks this.
-
Man that's a classic one I would still be laughing if I was there

If I recall correctly, you were asking about where to place linear on another thread.
I wisely (IMHO) suggested the trash, unless you were on of those immature children that HAD TO HAVE THE BIGGEST RADIO in the truckstop, well, I rest my case!blackw900 Thanks this.
