I dont know if this is just a freightliner issue but when I use the washer fluid at high speed liquid will get all over my drivers side mirror. And if its freezing outside then it just turns to ice and messes up my ability to see. Its really a horrible design flaw. Anybody else experience this?

yes on volvo.....I was going to get a piece of plastic last time i was home and make a little extender wing on the mirror, but forgot about it....
I found if you use the washers in a pulse fashon instead of all on, it tends to wash windows but keep the mirrors from getting collateral damage...

You don't have mirror heat? I would toss on my mirror heat and leave it on for awhile.

My boyfriend was complaining about the mess on the mirrors when he washes his windows so I am going to put my RainX on his side mirrors. Why not, I love it for my car so it should work to keep his mirrors cleaner I hope.

During super cold weather the darn stuff will freeze to the wipers and windshield, as well.
I learned that when it's that cold, turn off the heat so the ice and snow won't melt on the windshield. It's much easier to keep it clear when you're wiping dry snow and ice. I don't squirt washer fluid when the weather is below 20 degrees. It just makes a mess. Volvo is the worst. The mirrors are like moisture magnets.
