no drop/hook pay????? "only" 41 CPM to start out as a student???? this guy is freaking adorable!!! can you name a company that pays to drop a trailer and hook another? do you realize a lot of students start out at less than 30 CPM? in fact, a lot of experienced guys are lucky to get much over 30 CPM right now.

You do realize you are quoting a post from April 2007. He is right. That is a little on the low side for hazmat tanker work.

At Superior Carriers I make 41.5 loaded, 34 empty, $20 load, unload, drop or Tankwash plus $13.30 an hour after 2 hours. Layover is paid at 15 hours free then paid 8, 10 free, paid 8 until they get me rolling again. That is anywhere but our home terminal.

If I hit backed up traffic I immediately go on the clock at $13.30 an hour until it starts flowing again. We run 100% legal and do not carry chains. I got paid for 8 hours this winter when I stopped for the night because of a snow storm and winter conditions I deemed unsafe.

I get $10 sleeper berth pay if I sleep in the truck. If I need to do a 34 hour reset away from home the company pays for a hotel. Lots of this stuff is standard in the tanker industry.

If ur town is the pasadena, TX.. it will be the worst mistake u ever made... unless u just want 2-5 months of tanker training.. to move on to another company

Fayetteville NC is hiring like crazy. We are expanding and a couple of the exp guys are moving on. Prob hired 6 stud grads in last 6 months( we only had 22 or so drivers when I started).
