Don't see a transfer hose attached or the pressure builder working.
Assume they are dumping product for some reason?

I tried to upload the video but the file was too large. But while I was at airgas they dumped nearly a quarter of a trailer load of nitrogen. And as much as they talk about saving money. I couldn't believe they were waiting all that money on the ground.

This was done to reload on top of the nitrogen that was left in the tank. So it would past the test for this certain customer. But instead of changing someone's route and sending an empty truck to go load it and deliver. The manager at the time decided to just dump maybe $10k plus into the field.

But yet we as drivers needed to cut down on hotel use to save money. Man WTH????

Nitrogen isn't that expensive. Most of the cost to the customer is transport. My guess is that a trailer full of nitrogen is less than $2,500 to produce. So dumping a quarter is maybe $750.

I second this, nitrogen is the cheapest. Now if it was Argon or hydrogen that would be a different story.

The customer probably bought the whole load anyway. Or do cryo companies bill according to the meter?

I don't know anything about argon zn but I'm pretty sure that dumping a partial load of hydrogen would result in the news and the fire department being called, at a minimum.

2 years ago -- & further back beyond that...I saw a good number of cryo driver job opportunities.

In the last year or so....in particular....they seem to have pretty much all dried up.

    It's amazing.
