Hi guys, This is driving a tandem dump truck btw, I got an overweight ticket last week at a scale house for being 2,000 lbs overweight on my steer tires. It was at 15k but tires are rated for 13k. My drives were 33k, we are allowed 36k he didn't let me move any weight back cause id be over weight? Anyways, he marked me out of service but just let me drive off anyways. Is it possible to get the OOS removed, I don't necessarily care about paying ($70) but its the OOS which annoyed me.

OOS means you stay put, until the issue is corrected. What State was this in?

So he let you drive off?

Something doesn't fit, I had a truck put OSS with 1100 over the steers and we had to off load half of the trailer to get cleared to move the truck.
Should not even try but anything is possible.

You were put OOS but allowed to drive off. So, it's a mute point, assuming you delivered the load and went home and took a hot bath and wifey fetched you a cold beer, right ? The OOS part makes no sense.

Why not fight it? You were placed OOS ɓut yet allowed to continue service. It doesn't even make sense.

The OOS was to teach a lesson and ding your record. Count your blessings that it could’ve cost you more to have it adjusted. He let you go. Case closed. Pay the fine and live with it.

I have gotten overweight tickets company’s paid for them and my understanding was there were no points towards my license. This was in Florida I also received one in Kentucky.
