The fender flare helps break up all that red lol. Keep telling my wife there’s just to much red, she tells me to just shut up about it lol….

 

You gonna lay in some bead molding along the fenders?

 

Looks to me like he’ll have it done about the time elk season rolls around and I can’t think of a better way to break it in than pounding around the borderlands of the Ho in hot pursuit of elk

 

Actually looked for some locally, probably going to have to order it.

Father in law told me that when he took it apart in the late 80’s that there was a thin layer of rubber or plastic between the tub and the fender, I have yet to find any source on that….

 

Lol…. You’ll have to talk to Mrs. Oldskool about that , probably make you wax it afterwards lol….

 

Dash itself is 1976 with all original gauges with new bulbs in the volt meter and oil pressure gauges. The speedo is original to the Jeep itself which is 1977. 29,460 miles on the Speedo, just as it was when he last drove it in 1987…..
