Got the steering column in and front brakes bled, set the shifter down in the transmission and buttoned it up. Engine started off the key switch just as it should, drove it out in the yard and back under its own power. That’s the first time it’s moved under its own power since 1987, clutch worked nicely as well as the power steering….

 

Just to get you clue’d in a little @Big Road Skateboard — and I’m still pretty green at it— but Grandpa’n is about the most fun you can have with your pants still on— you can show up with 2 kinds of chaos, eat and when everyone is melting down, leave and everyone will still talk to you in the morning— can’t ask for much more than that

So I am sitting in the neighborhood diner, in a residential area, at a lunch counter. There is a guy telling stories about how his grandfather joined the army at 16 to fight in WWII as became an airplane mechanic. His mechanics certificate was signed by Orville and Wilbur Wright. According to him. How interesting!

Suddenly, he starts talking about his job. Guess what his occupation is? Anyone want to guess?
