Poor driver. That's something he'll probably never forget. Out of all the ways to go stepping in front of any vechile more so hurts the person driving. P

If only there were scores of lawyers that wanted to help the truck driver in his time of anguish and suffering.

I have ZERO sympathy for anyone who jumps out in front of a largecar so to commit suicide. Jump off a building or eat a bullet, but dont make someone else have to live the rest of their life with remorse, just 'cause your life is FFFF up.
I have ZERO sypmathy for any person who jumps in front of a semi, but alot for the innocent drivers. -
simplyred1962 Betty Boop, One Bodacious Babe!!!
I will pray for the driver for the rest of my life. I know he must be going through, and always will, some terrible things.
But to play "devils advocate" here, what pain must a person be in, to even CONSIDER suicide, much less following through???
True, suicide is considered by many to be a "cowards" way out, and/or selfish.
But, just IMAGINE the hopelessness, and helplessness one must feel to reach that point?
(to the driver of the big truck)
****Driver, I pray that you can/ will get past the grief you feel, and the guilt, even though you have no reason for guilt....the man wanted to die, he just happened to step in front of you...no rhyme, no reason...you were there.
HE chose to take his life, YOU did not choose to end it for him.****

If someone absolutely has to kill himself, he can do it alone. Why does anybody need to make spectacle out of their own death and involve an innocent person. Take a handfull of pills or something. Everyone goes through rough times. Not everyone kills themselves. My sympothy lies with the driver and the families of the people involed. Not the idiot who jumped infront of the truck. I had someone try this on me one time and luckily I was able to avoid him. -
Well, you see. It's the stigma that has always been associated with trucks. Most people don't even consider the notion that someone is driving it. How many times have you heard, "big as a Mack Truck.", or similar phrasing. It's as if the truck is self propelled, and there isn't anyone driving. Most people don't think we, as truck drivers, have much of a pulse, either. So, they aren't jumping in front of you, or thinking "that guy in that truck cut me off". But, more along the lines of "did you see that TRUCK almost run that GUY IN THE CADILLAC off the road?" So, add this to what Judi Kay is trying to get accross. Desparation causes anyone to NOT consider another persons consequences.

I just read this post. It's been about the same time frame and I might of posted it already....
I was driving about 3am on the back roads of east TX. It was very dark from the cloud cover. I glanced down at my gauges and back up only to see a man in dark clothes standing on the white line. I swerved gently to miss him and looked in my mirror as I went past. He never budged or stepped back.
That guy was on drugs or drunk and had a death wish.
I feel for that driver. It'll haunt him forever. -
You sure that you didn't see the black dog? Like in the movie.
