Line haul started me out pulling doubles all night and when get back to the office in the morning dawn and boss says why don't you go home and get about four hours sleep and then come in and work on the dock, before you pull your doubles tonight. And I said this ain't for me. Byby

Used to affect me that was too at first. Then I learned about lists, I would make them while out on the highway and when I came home I'd go down the list and check everything off. After that it started making things a lot smoother. And when that dispatch calls you at home saying they absolutely have to have you leave early? You tell them that you absolutely have to have a raise! They'll hang up and let you have your home time. Worked for me.TNSquire Thanks this.

You either like line haul or you don't, there doesn't seem to be many in between.
I started linehaul 15 months ago. 1,000km/620ish miles nightly
Work Wednesday to Sunday.
Start at 630pm and back in the yard parked and heading home usually by 6am.
Works for me. I do it as it's home daily, excellent pay, and I was finding the previous job becoming too physical for me.
I know ecer inch of the road I drive, and can tell you right now where I will be on it at any given time tonight so, boring and predictable but it works for me at this point in time and the pay is worthwhile, company is good, boss is excellent.
Try it out and see how it goes. Nothing g to lose.Lumper Humper Thanks this.
