3 Phoenix motorcycle riders killed in truck crash

Dump Truck Driver In Massive Motorcycle Crash "Fishing For Papers" Before Accident

A dump truck driver admitted he was "fishing for papers" when his rig crashed through nine motorcycles this afternoon in Phoenix, killing several riders.
The accident took place near 27th and Carefree Highway in Phoenix. Multiple sources have confirmed earlier reports of a major accident involving multiple bikes in the area. According to the employees of a Walgreens located near the site of the accident, the truck driver plowed through at least nine motorcycle riders who were parked at the intersection waiting for the light. The truck then caught on fire with motorcycles trapped underneath it.
According to one Walgreens employee, the truck driver admitted to bystanders that he was "fishing for papers" when the accident occured. Lifeflight was sent to the scene and the casualty count is unclear, but at least three people and possibly five are dead with many others injured. Another car was said to be involved. [ABC 15]

Distracted while driving, looking for something he THOUGHT was important at that moment....
And 11 lives were lost, many more lives affected..


Was it REALLY THAT IMPORTANT???

People have said that drugs kill....and they do...

DISTRACTIONS of this sort, that are totally avoidable (read your stuff when you are PARKED!!!!)

One of the riders killed in this crash was a good freind of mine, he was from south Louisiana from the bayou. the driver was not a ileagle mexican as stated. he was a 56 yr old Phoenix man , and was arrested on 4 counts of manslaughter. 3 riders died at the scene, and a female rider died the next day. toxicology test came back and he was high on methamphetamine. Ther were 4 riders that died. Here is a link about the driver, there are more related links about the crash, i hope the links will work. It's drivers like this that gives all of us a bad name, i hope they lock him up for a vaery long time. My heart and prayers go out to all friend and family of these poor souls especialy Stephen, my cajun friend, REST IN PEACE
