You're right about that.....I like the phrase hard charger. Some people have said they play favorites here, treat the harder runners better.....what company doesn't? Lol.

Sounds nice. Definitely will be needing to get that inverter installed for meals/cooking on the truck. It's always quieter to me at shippers or rest areas anywayPeace_Maker Thanks this.

You can get an inverter from climate and they'll put it in and take x amount out of your check every week till it's paid for it. But also the APU has an electrical outlet that when you're sitting still and running the Apu it can power your appliance. You just run a cord from the Apu outlet to the shore power on the outlet outside and it'll power all the outlets in there. We had an inverter just for a backup in case the Apu went down or something.Peace_Maker and Venusiantraveler Thank this.

Good to know! I do a lot of "slow cooker" cooking as I'm driving (multi-task that way my dinner is ready when I stop the truck for the night) and I also keep an internet hotspot that needs a 110 outlet as I'm driving because I use TruckerPath and my t-mobile cell/internet service on my phone has proven unreliable at times (mostly when I was flatbedding and delivering to oil rigs and places that didn't even have an address just gps coordinates, lol) I'm also leary of being in the mountains where cell/internet service can sometimes be hit or miss, for safety reasons. I want to ALWAYS have a connection. T-mobile is so sketchy sometimes I've pulled into rest areas for the night with no connection (couldn't even watch Netflix before bed! ) but the ATT hotspot has NEVER left me without being able to make calls, texts or connect to internet. As a solo female driver I just make sure to always have connection, especially if I have to sleep someplace sketchy,
Yes. It costs me a hefty Att bill each month but it gives me peace of mind. And my last 2 carriers were such small outfits i had to do EVERYTHING on my mobile phone... ELD, submit BOLs, all my tracking apps, navigation, etc.Peace_Maker, bryan21384 and dwells40 Thank this. -
Man.....I'm busy today. They gave me a Coke load yesterday with the tightest window ever. It delivered today at 11 am in Baton Rouge. Got there at 10:57 lol. Then my reload was on tightest road, with the tightest turns. It's a tight kind of week I guess lol. Reloaded pallets in Slaughter, LA. What a name for a town. Headed back up to Coke in Warrenton.

Anyone know what time Growers Shipper opens? I showed up 16hrs early for my appt and want to be first to check in.
Those sort of days are my favorite because they are the most fun. Most of these runs arent challenging so I get bored.Peace_Maker and bryan21384 Thank this. -
I'd be ready to check in at 7 AM. If memory serves me correctly they open at 8. Be ready at 7 just in case. If that's the one in town you'll have to go up the street to the public scale to scale in an out.Peace_Maker, DreadfulDay and bryan21384 Thank this.

I am sitting at Nestle Mechanicsburg with a load of oatmeal. 2 days early. I hope they take it early or I'm going to be doing a lotta free sitting. Seen a Climate truck East of Cedar Rapids Monday on hwy 30. Thought to myself well now that's an unusual route for a Climate truck.Peace_Maker, DreadfulDay and bryan21384 Thank this.

Grower Shipper usually opens at 8 am I believe. Where ya going from there? You have lots of time to chill for real!! I much prefer runs like that. Honestly, I think the money is better in those types of runs if they can keep em coming.Peace_Maker and DreadfulDay Thank this.

Slide some of that oatmeal over this way.....get my fiber up before processing lol. I made it Hayti, at the old truck stop that was an Exxon I think, then a One9, now its abandoned. It's gonna be a quiet sleep tonight. The West Memphis scale hit me with a level 3, and the girl that came into the window next to me smelled like 3 forms of piss. The DOT officer could smell her through the window. Luckily he had spray lolwulfman75, Knucklehead, motocross25 and 3 others Thank this.
