Haven't gotten one yet and may not ever. They are still looking at how old a truck is to old. Last I heard (and that was in Jan) they where not going to put them in any thing that was to come off the road with in 12 months from June. Which means anything higher then 8000.

IN A 7500 SERIS TK and have been on elogs since mid jan. Do i like them, Yes, cause then i can refuse to do loads i don't have the hrs, that after hrs tries to tell me i must take.
I say look at my screen in front of you, you can see what elogs shows the hrs i have. This shuts them.

I was told in Jan. By Mondovi The plan is to have all company trucks on Elogs. By August. No i don't have the newest version, i have the Omnivision.

Well they had better get the other shops on board then. Have been in Forrest park 3 times and Ontario 2 times sense Jan and both of them told me tha a 7900 truck was not getting them.

For those with Omnivision, all they have to do is send signal to the truck, and elogs is activated, then they talk you thru on how to log on to the qc. Then you watch a short vid . Safety gives you 7days to 'play' with elogs, at the same time you keep paper logs. I waitied till i had a reset to start on elogs completly.
There is no plans to install the mcp unit on my truck.

The load planners are not looking at my hours when they send me a load. I have been on the E log for a couple months now, and nothing has changed on there end. I have had to turn down more loads now. Some of the loads i get just dont have enough wiggle room if i run into delays with traffic or at shippers/recievers. I think we are all going to be doing alot of repowers for drivers that run out of hours, once everybody is on paperless logs. I am hope everything works out in the long run. No more running 700 miles per day. If its flat out at 65 i can do about 650 miles. But if lots of grades to pull, maybe 550 miles. watch out for the 14 hr rule!:biggrin_2551:

That 14 hr rule is what is going to catch them. They are going to have to re-do there system and figure that a truck can do 550 a day. If they do that the driver will be fine because there going to want you to do that ever day. Which means $$$ for us.

Come on this is Mondovi your talking about. They have no clue on how to do basic math, let alone give you enough time on loads.
Anybody who wants to work in the office, should be required to have at least 6 months out on the road as a driver, so they have a clue on how to plan a load.
I've done 3 repowers this week alone, because the drivers didn't have the hrs to finish it. But were FORECED TO Load it and run as afar as they could go. I suspect to see more each week.

OK, this E-log is causing some problems. Ive had to turn down several loads now. I give dispatch my upcoming hours ahead of time (3 days in advance) and they don't pay any attention to it. They still give me impossible loads that i can't except. Im starting to get real frustrated. Everybody get ready to start re-powering loads cause alot of drivers are going to be having problems when they get there E-log. Stress level has gone way up. Like i said before, tight loads and paperless logs are a bad match. How to solve this? Fleet managers need to start reading the entire message that you send them on the Q.C., not just the first few words. Load planners need to look at our avaliable hours before sending loads. Give drivers time to get the load to the delivery. Most of the loads I get are tight.:biggrin_25510:
