For the worst shipper it's a toss up between Georgia-Pacific at Big Island, VA for the time it takes and Domino Sugar in NYC for the awkwardness of their docks on the wharf especially when you have a full size rig - you look down onto the Hudson trying to back in.
For the best - I would have to vote Greiff Bros at Riverville VA for off loading and shipping - take the bales off and load the rolls - used to take about an hour or so.
My worst and best

The best shipper I ever went to was Dakota Growers in northern Kentucky.
After I backed in, I was loaded and had my bills in less than 45 minutes.
To top it off, they apologized for taking so long. My kind of shipper. -
I haul oversize flatbed loads. Best for me is a company called, Well, I won't name them on second thought. They have a limited amount of high-dollar product, and I don't want one of those under-bidding, low dollar, thieving, large companies seeing this and trying to take it from me with a low dollar bid. They only post every once in a while, but you know they monitor the site, and they would steal it in a second. It's mine, and you blood sucking loads of crap can't have it. lol.
Anyway,I back in, they load and weld in place the etire load, I pull out and throw 2 chains, done in under an hour. ####, it takes longer to get the oversized permits than it does to load the darned thing. -
Now the word #### is band??? How long before the word heaven is band??? I understand standards but it's not like a real profanity, no worse than saying ####. Can we just post a list of banned words, get it over with for once and for all, you could put an R rating on it so those that would be offended could avoid it, but the rest of us would know.

The best, Kellogg's, Kimper, KY (if you want to know where it is, it's right next to the middle of nowhere), we did drop and hooks and I always got a couple boxes of pop tarts while there. Sauder, Archbold OH is good, if it's quiet there you can get in and out really quick (30 mins or so). Sterilite,Massillon OH, we did mostly drops and hooks and loads were nice and light.Target DC's were good too, because we did drops and hooks there too.
The worst, General Mills, Milwaukee (NOT the plant, but the Lindners warehouse), I think my average wait on two loads there was 9 hours apiece. -
I agree with 'Aussie'...the Georgia Pacific in Big Island, VA is a pain in the #*&%. Just getting to the dang place is an adventure....then I had to wait almost 3 hrs. for a 'drop and hook' that was actually loaded and waiting when I got there.

Those boys don't fool around! Stay out of their way because the forklifts are wide open all the time. I have taken waste paper in, weighed in at the top of the hill, went down and unloaded, swept the trailer out, went back up the hill and weighed empty and then went back down and loaded and was gone within a hour.

I had a bad week last week.
Graphic Designs in Mitchell, SD kept me for 5 hours.
Some grocery warehouse I forget the name of in Springfield, MO held me for 8 hours for unloading.
And a Wal-Mart DC in Arcadia, FL had me for 5 hours.
Here's hoping this week goes a little better. -
That wouldn't have been Associated Grocers in Springfield now, would it?
