Hey all, got a new problem with my ddec 2. Got my fuel issue from last week pretty well fixed. Anyway, took to the truck(‘91 t800) into Detroit today to get the governor adjusted from 1800 to 2100 rpm to get more power. Picked the truck up tonight and made it a mile down the road and lost all power and won’t go over 1600 rpm. Messed around with it a little when I got home. Thought I had a ground issue as it would crank longer than normal and didn’t start with lots of power like usual. Got the ground cleaned and it starts normal now but I get up to speed and it cuts me back to 1600 and acts like it’s being defueled.
    Fuel pressure stays good, 70-80psi
Don’t think it’s the turbo or any boost leak because it won’t go over 1600 sitting still not in gear.
First thought is some other wiring issue or possibly a fried ecm? Any ideas or suggestions on what to look for? Thanks

You wont see any boost at 1600 sitting in neutral. It takes minimal fuel to hit that rpm with zero load on it and that small amount of fuel will not spin the turbo enough to make any boost. What fuel issue did you have last week? If its cranking a long time that is a sign of fuel bleeding back down because of leak... and your RPM cutting out sounds along the same line... Sounds like getting air into the fuel.
