I need some advice.
My husband and I are working to get a brokerage company off the ground. Currently, He has a transportation company, mainly moving equipment for construction, both the Brokerage and the Transportation company are under different LLC's but have the same owners. We are running into the issue of companies not wanting to insure him because the brokerage company is open. Local insurance companies are advising him to close the brokerage LLC in order for his units to be covered by their insurance company.
My question is: Do you know an insurance group that will insure his units under a different LLC without the brokerage being an issue or do you have recommendations on a work around?

What type of insurance are you referring to exactly?

I own a trucking company and a brokerage. I have no issues getting insurance for both. I use the same insurance agent for both my companies. I have never heard of not being able to insure the trucks because you own multiple companies.
edit. Both my companies are under different corporations.exhausted379 Thanks this. -
There should not be an issue, these are two different entities and don't have cross-over in operations. I would shop around and maybe someone can step in with a good broker to go to for insurance.
