Whats wrong with pellets? Good wood smoke is good wood smoke.
Hey even some of the “Pros” are going pellet.
Better temp control and stability, smoother and more consistency in smoke. Whats not to like.
And, don’t have to jack with it every hour or two.

 

After observing that behavior in many different scenarios I've decided it's some deep seated thing in a lot of peoples brains that goes back to prehistoric times where human type creatures had to bunch up for safety.
They do it subconsciously.
