I assume it’s a BC IV. There is no need for Teflon parts. It’ll easily go 400. If you ditch that low flow cooling you can easily run 500. The low flow doesn’t do well with higher HP
broke down plumber, Oxbow, IH9300SBA and 1 other person Thank this. -
Ok, I guess your engine is having problems? -
It's tired. 870k miles, and doesn't like to pull over 46k very well.broke down plumber and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.

I don't want to run to five, honestly I think four would be the highest I would want to go just because I don't want to put too much strain on it. If I have the horsepower and the torque I'm going to be tempted to go for the super loadsbroke down plumber and ElmerFudpucker Thank this.

I’m not running 500….. anymore.
Vampire, blairandgretchen and Dino soar Thank this. -
I’d still be trying to get rid of the low flow, but lots of 400’s were built with low flow. Guys having problems keeping them cool have been monkeying with the pump. But stock 400 settings aren’t anything to be scared ofbroke down plumber, exhausted379, Oxbow and 4 others Thank this.

Lot of that is 3.55 gears on tall rubber with a little motor. It’s probably better suited to 4.10’s or 3.90’sbroke down plumber, SL3406, exhausted379 and 5 others Thank this.

I run a Big Cam / 13 / 3:70 / tall 24.5, out pulls the 365 Big Cam / 9 / 3:55 / 24.5 tall in the 88 K100 I drove for H&W years ago….
broke down plumber, Vampire, exhausted379 and 4 others Thank this.
