All I know is what the trooper told me. Where I was there were three lanes and I was in the center lane so maybe if 4 lanes it is the right 2 lanes.

I'm doing hilmar to hyrum today for tge hundredth time. Out of hyrum I go 89-84-30/233-80-99.
I very been able to go 62mph with no hassles, but no guarantees. I have a disdain right now for California because I just got a ticket for " parking on the interstate". Officer was a jerk Had me go to the scalehouse. Everyone was a jerk. No surprise.
I just pulled off the rd briefly because I had to take care of something for my wife. I was pounced on immediately. This is i8 westbound coming from yuma though and I don't recommend it. The officer proudly told me how this stretch is his beat and there's a reason it's listed high up the list on "speedtraps.com". Winterhaven ca. My 1st citation. But he said it's no points.

I got a parking ticket out there.

I was at my destination. Waiting to unload. The signs say no parking unless loading or unloading.

I guess sleeping while waiting isn't allowed.

If you get into San Leandro after dark don't go wandering around on foot. It's not user friendly.
Safe parking anywhere in the Bay Area or East Bay can be hard to find.

One of the guys mentioned staying in Patterson or Tracy before unloading. Good choice.

Otherwise, it's not a hard state to truck in. You'll see a lot of whining on here from people who couldn't play by the rules and got a citation but it's usually their own fault. Do things right and you won't have any problem.

Parking is scarce in the area. Crime is high in the area. The 49-er truck stop near Sacramento is the truck stop I always used. Parking is paid. You buy parking from a vending machine inside the truck stop. When you leave you show that paper to the gate to leave.

Everybody has their comfort zone. For me it's simple, if a state has Pacific coastline, or an Atlantic coastline north of I77, I don't go there. Ever. For any reason. Been there, never again. Truck, car, motorcycle makes no difference.
