Here is the name of the facility. I found it from a post in January of 2017 of the thread where another driver who had been there evidently used the same route I took.

From I-80 take US11 or US15 depending on whether you're running east or west on 80. Take either one to Sunbury/Shamokin Dam and then go PA147 south to PA225 south to the town of Pillow. At the stop sign, stay straight to continue to Klingerstown and Michaels. I ran my route from Tower City, which is just off I-81. From there it's US209 south to PA225 north in Elizabethville to Pillow, and then a right on the before mentioned road (Park) to Klingerstown. From Harrisburg/Duncannon/Dauphin, it does look a bit dicey, but I've never run that way.nextgentrucker and Tanker_82 Thank this.

@Voyager1968 I was sitting here having my coffee after reading your directions and pulled it up on my iPad to see where I went wrong. I’m not sure if this map will make sense to you, but I think I got off both times on a road called “Henderson Bypass.” It was taking me through the sticks instead of going on down to Pillow like you mentioned. I do remember coming down from 80 and crossing over the river, then making an immediate right turn to go South. After leaving town, I was turning left onto a back road instead of going to Pillow. Whatever back road that was, resembled an asphalt roller coaster that you wouldn’t want to meet another truck on. I appreciate the correct directions.

I also live in Port St Lucie. Just for the heck of it I went to IRT's website but it doesnt look like they are hiring out of Florida so I cant fill out an app. I'm going to keep my eye on it.
nextgentrucker and Redtwin Thank this. -
I believe if you search on Ten Street app you can.
JrzyDave Thanks this. -
I was chatting with Chris in safety a few weeks ago and he said that we basically aren't hiring in Florida at all right now because the majority of our drivers live in Florida and we don't need more.nextgentrucker, Redtwin and JrzyDave Thank this.

Cobra, how do they normally route you home in Tulsa? It seems like I remember you saying that’s where you live. The reason I’m asking is, I plan on moving back to Oklahoma around the first of the year. I grew up, graduated, and lived there my entire life until 2018 when I moved to San Antonio. When I hired on, I was living in OKC. Going home back then usually involved getting caught under the Clovis dispatch umbrella beforehand or after I returned. Are you experiencing that living in Tulsa, or are you able to go home and leave out without seeing Clovis?

Usually I will deliver somewhere in Texas and then deadhead home. I've deadheaded from Houston, Dallas, ft worth, and brenham. Oh and I think sulphur springs once too, or somewhere near there. On occasion I will deliver in Joplin, MO to get home. There have been a couple times where I've had to deadhead even further to get home from Alabama or Tennessee. As for where the loads originate, usually they're the Bensalem or Cordele umbrella. Usually I don't get paid to deadhead home after my last delivery, but on the longer ones they have paid me for it.
As far as going out of home, I used to deadhead to cedar rapids quite a bit but I haven't done that in a while. Lately it has been Clovis or Tulare. Sometimes I'll get to Clovis after leaving the house and they just tell me to keep going on to Tulare. I think I've gone from Tulsa to Tulare empty about 3 times since I've been here. These are always paid miles so I'm not complaining.Last edited: Sep 23, 2024
