We have a bunch of 2024 and 2025 Cummins powered 579’s where I work. Many of them have that same leak from time to time

 

Whole bottom rail is swimming in coolant. You are probably seeing a shadow.

Sat all weekend and just booked a load now looking like I’m sol. Doesn’t look like the lower hose and can’t even tighten one of the clamps without taking the 18” Texas bumper off.

 

I had a problem a few months back with the lower hose on the opposite end. Would purge out a couple cups of coolant after I would shut down the engine. Would purge out and stop..

This leak dumped probably a gallon.
Running it up to temp now and will shut it down and see what it does.

Been getting a little smell of something the last week but didn’t notice anything and just figured it was from the oil change I just had done.

I did run over a Buck head in ND almost a week ago. Someone left it in the middle of the road late at night. Wonder if that could have damaged the radiator..

 

You’re right, it’s wet at least 6 inches up and the rest is covered so don’t know if it starts higher than that
