Pipeline to Britain.

They say that oil is finite. But they also say it comes from dinosaurs and other bio matter. People and animals has continued to die for the last however millions of years since dinosaurs. Wouldn’t that then in turn continue to replenish oil? Maybe we should ban caskets.

 

@gentleroger im not saying there arent things to fear that should change our behaviour, but theres a level of catastrophising everything in the past 30 years that is clearly unhealthy for society at large and individual mental stability alike. I would attribute that to the increased speed of communication the internet brought, and from then point to social media platforms that pretty much just feed outrage bait to everyone, since only the loudest bs gets passed on by hijacking human's psychology, its a vicious cycle we have yet to figure out a good widespread defense mechanisms against.

 

So I should be afraid of social media and rage click bait?

I actually think bio fuels are a much more feasible plan than going purely electric. Probably more environmentally friendly too. Mining rare metals which are also finite and destroys the earth is not very sustainable.

 

Of things to actually fear as potential modern civilisational collapse causes... yeah im probably more worried about that than anything else
