So I have a question more like a pre question. Are we allowed to talk about deletes here? I know I’ve seen some forums say no. So was just verifying.

Really I just wanted to know if people with the delete had an issues. I know the other details. Just want to know the possible head aches. Might test the waters with a strategically worded thread.

Well I did my truck. A 2017 Freightliner Cascadia and it was the best decision in trucking I ever made. Truck never had an issue afterwards.

Hell yea literally everyone I ask about it says the same thing as you. Even dealership guys say anyone they’ve encountered says the same.

The one thing to watch with getting your truck deleted is make sure the place you use does a real delete. The way I had it explained to me, a lot of guys simply adjust the computer parameters so that it never uses def. Unfortunately if they do this your sensors going bad will still affect the truck. You want someone to actually delete it. The shop I used reamed out the dpf filter and made it to where I could remove all that stuff if I wanted to.

Yeah epa is cracking down in them. But i have heard some people with good deletes and some are crap. Your setup is pretty simple just one step away from a "normal" engine. A company that sold stainless steel blanks to block off the egr pipe was forced to stop selling them. It used to be that and a sensor change and the truck was mostly deleted. The egr cooler could still leak. Recently a trucking company owner paid an 80k fine for deleting trucks and is now a felon. So......
