Wouldn't the people you'll work with be a better source of information?
Flat Earth Trucker, Numb, Lonesome and 5 others Thank this. -
Seems like a good question to ask in the interview process…
Lonesome, tscottme, nextgentrucker and 2 others Thank this. -
I don't know about odot . In Georgia we have got , they don't plow snow down here . I see them standing around a lot leaning on shovels and brooms. Looks like they're trying to stay awake. I don't know if you have to bring you own shovel or not.

You will need a snazzy reflective vest.
Flat Earth Trucker and Lonesome Thank this. -
Talk to the current workers at the job. "Hey, I am new here, I want to do a good job and fit in. What can you guys tell me about this job? What do you see the new guys do that they should not do?" Things like that are what I would ask.Flat Earth Trucker and kylefitzy Thank this.

Learn to blend in, that way you can be one of the 6 standing around doing nothing while one guy actually works.
Lonesome Thanks this. -
Probably will start the day going into the local convenient store getting a coffee and breakfast sandwich.
