EPA probably switched from pick ups to big trucks more money that will be paid that way .. also this gives tuners a chance to advertise again once a few years go by they can seize clients list and fine again . Underground tuning was more expensive to catch lol

I've seen them advertised the largest used freightliner dealer, as "previously altered emmisions"

It all depends on how it was deleted..I personally know several people who got deletes.from same place. For them it's a simple as putting a used def filter. Having the dealer (or someone) reprogram them.

I worked for this company after they were bought out. The guy in the article named John Joseph was the shop foreman. These were deleted pick up trucks. I didn’t talk to him in depth about it and I wish I did. I do remember he was very worried of what the outcome would be. The company made him a deal, as long as he stayed an employee they would pay for his court costs. I was laid off before the final court date. I do know he was no longer allowed to be a mechanic and they moved him to driving hotshot. Not sure if it was just a company mechanic or be a mechanic ever again.

They had some brand new Chevy 2500’s with super low mileage that sat for awhile. They were disposed of.

Back to the discussion about the EHV truck dealer.... I know the trucks are expensive $200k average. 2023-24 chassis with assembled titles because the engine were replaced with pre 99 factory reman engines. The trucks are beautiful like brand new. All the creature comforts i would be looking for. Which leads me to wonder about titling in my communist state of MA. Would it stay an assembled title? Changed to salvage title? And then would it have to pass a sniff test for annual DOT inspections? I would hate to pay $200k for a lawn ornament.

You’d have to ask MA how they would handle transfer of an assembled vehicle title from Nebraska.

Also they’re not 23-24 chassis. The newest a chassis would be is an early 2022 model. Anything with the digital dash is out.
